Very exceptional unfaded copy of the first official Swedish translation of The Hobbit, Published by Rabén & Sjögren, Stockholm, 1962. The pink color of the boards has remained exceptionally fresh, without the usual fading from sunlight. Original quarter green cloth with a color-printed illustration on the front board by Tove Jansson, the famous creator of the Moomins. The green cloth of the spine is also in excellent condition. Minor bumped spine ends and a few very small, hardly noticeable dents on the board edges are the only signs of wear. The binding is tight, and the pages are clean, with no names, inscriptions, or other markings. An outstanding, fine copy.
