Early Harry Potter Australian Boxed set – Rare (Allan & Unwin) publisher error
Early Harry Potter Australian Boxed set – Rare (Allan & Unwin) publisher error
Early scarce Australian set of the first three Harry Potter Books with a striking error: By mistake Tolkien’s publisher Allan & Unwin is printed on the back of the slipcase instead of Rowling’s publisher Bloomsbury. Allen & Unwin only handled the distribution of the Harry Potter books in Australia.
Illustrated slipcase with minor wear containing a first edition, second printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone together with a first edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and a sixth printing of Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. The books are in near fine condition with bumped spine ends, but without inscriptions, names or dog-ears. Philosopher’s Stone also has some dust spots on the fore edge. Otherwise fine in fine dust jackets.
A very interesting item for both collectors of J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling.
