First Canadian edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, signed on the title page in black felt-tip pen. This association copy was signed on 23 October 2007 in one of the green rooms backstage at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto for Geoffrey E. Taylor, the artistic director of the International Festival of Authors. Taylor arranged J.K. Rowling’s 2007 visit to Canada and was only the second director in the festival’s 40-year history.
Signed copies of the Canadian edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are extremely rare. All copies that Rowling signed during this visit to Canada were English editions with a dust jacket from the Canadian publisher, also featuring Rowling’s hologram sticker. This is the only original Canadian signed copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows we have ever seen.
The book and dust jacket are in pristine, unread condition. It is housed in a custom-made half-leather clamshell box and accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) from Adam Houston (TheHarryPotterSpecialist), the world's sole expert on J.K. Rowling's signature, along with an informative collector's card providing additional details.
In his LoA, Adam Houston mentions that this is also the only signed copy of this title he has ever observed.
An exceptionally rare and highly collectible signed Harry Potter book.
