First Canadian edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, signed on the title page in black felt-tip pen. This ultra-rare association copy was signed on 23 October 2007 in one of the green rooms backstage at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto for Geoffrey E. Taylor, the artistic director of the International Festival of Authors. Taylor arranged Rowling’s 2007 visit to Canada and was only the second director in the festival’s 40-year history.
This is the first original Canadian signed copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince we have ever seen come to market. The book and dust jacket are in pristine, unread condition. It is housed in a custom-made half-leather clamshell box and is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) from Adam Houston (TheHarryPotterSpecialist), the world's sole expert on J.K. Rowling's signature, along with an informative collector's card providing additional details. In his Letter of Authenticity, Adam Houston mentions that this is also the only signed Canadian copy of this title he has ever observed.
An exceptionally rare and highly collectible signed association copy of one of the most difficult Harry Potter titles to find signed.
