The book is unread with a tight binding and clean pages, without names or inscriptions and even with only very minor browning of pages. Very minor dent to upper front corner, sharp spine ends and cornertips. The near fine first edition dust jacket is minor wrinkled at the upper spine end and to one corner, without any wear and with vibrant colors.
The first print run consisted of 5,150 copies only (Errington: 187), divided into two states. By common opinion the second state is a bit less rare than the first state, although according to Errington the difference in printed copies must be minimal: 2,500 versus 2,650 copies.
