The Harry Potter Gift set – First Edition, Early Printings of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

First edition, very early 11th Printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (1997), paired with a First edition, early 10th Printing of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998). Comes in the original 1998 UK Bloomsbury “The Harry Potter Gift set” book sleeve.
Philosopher’s Stone features the original illustration of the brown-haired young wizard on the reverse and spine, which was later replaced by an image of Dumbledore in subsequent printings.

Philosopher’s Stone is in near fine condition with bumped spine ends and a small dent on the lower end of the book cover. There is minor foxing on the endpapers, otherwise inside is without inscriptions or names. Mild toning to the edges of the pages is usual. The binding is firm; the book seems unread. The very good, unfaded dust jacket is slightly wrinkled at the top and bottom edges and has a small damage to the upper edge on the back side. The early edition of Chamber of Secrets is in excellent, unread condition with bright pages and without any defects. The dust jacket is in near fine condition with minor wrinkling at the upper spine end. The sleeve is in excellent condition without shelf wear. A very nice Harry Potter gift set.
