The Harry Potter series – Full set original Hardback first editions, first printings, published by Bloomsbury – Extremely scarse 2020 signed J.K. Rowling photo with PA letter included
A rare opportunity to purchase a complete set of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling signed photo with Hologram an PA letter included. Recently signed photographs of Rowling are extremely scarce. For a very touching reason (which we do not mention here out of discretion) this photo was signed for the previous owner during the COVID period. All books are UK Bloomsbury Hardback first printings, except Philosopher's Stone, which is the scarce first printing Bloomsbury used for the Australian market. An amazing set in superb condition, all protected by Brodart removable archival covers. More photos will be sent on request.
--- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone - First Edition, First Printing.
Full number line 10-1. This version was printed for Bloomsbury in Australia and the first to be issued with a dust jacket. We learned from a Bloomsbury contact that the print run was only 2.000 copies. A fine, unread copy with sharp spine ends and cornertips, firm binding, clear pages without any inscriptions dog-ears or other flaws. The near fine dust jacket has some (inconspicuous) corner- and shelfwear, otherwise fine with bright colours and without any fading. Note: The softcover ISBN number was mistakenly printed on the dust jacket. This therefore differs from the (correct) ISBN number on the copyright page.
--- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - First Edition, First Printing.
Full number line 10- 1. According to Phillip W. Errington (J.K. Rowling, A Bibliography 2018, p. 65) published on 2 July 1998 in an edition of only 706 copies. There are reasonable doubts about this number because the book regularly appears at auctions. Nevertheless, a small print run. The boards have vibrant colours, sharp spine ends and corner tips. An unread book with tight binding, clean pages without names or inscriptions, no foxing, only very minor browning of page edges. The original unclipped first edition dust jacket is in a almost fine condition with minor waving of the topside and without fading, shelfwear or edgewear.
--- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban First Edition, First printing – Second State
Full number line 10 -1. 'J.K. Rowling' and 'Printed by Clays' listed on the copyright page. This is the corrected First Printing, also know as the ‘Second State’, in a fine original dust jacket. The first print run consisted a total of 5,150 copies only (Errington: 187), divided into two states: 2.500 First state versus 2.650 Second State copies.
The book appears unread with a tight binding and clean pages, browned as usual. The boards are clean with sharp spine ends an cornertips. The first edition dust jacket is also in a fine condition without fading or wear and with vibrant colors.
--- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire- First Omnia printing
'First Edition' as stated on the copyrightpage. This is the rare OMNIA printing of the First edition. According to Errington (J.K. Rowling, A Bibliography, p. 251) published on 8 July 2000 in an edition of 750.000 copies. The major part of this title were printed by Clays in England, a minor part in Scotland by Omnia Press, mainly to be sold in the author's home country of Scotland. A Fine copy in a fine Dust Jacket.
The remaining three titles in the series (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) are also excellent First Editions, First Printings in a Fine Dust Jacket.
