The Lord of the Rings Unwin Books paperback set, first impressions 1974. Illustrations by J.R.R. Tolkien on both the covers and the open-ended sleeve. Issued in an open-ended sleeve and produced by Unwin Books for export only. The books are in near fine condition with mildly fading to the spine and hardly any wear. There is a scratch to the fore edge of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King, otherwise the books are fine. They appear to be unread, without names or inscriptions. The sleeve has a rubbed corner but is otherwise in excellent condition. A very nice and collectible set.
